Filing for Bankruptcy

I am a lawyer dedicated to helping clients achieve a fresh financial start.  I limit my law practice to consumer bankruptcies.  I can also assist family business and other small business owners in dealing with the aftermath of a failing business.  I guide individuals seeking debt relief through the following forms of personal bankruptcy:

• Chapter 7 Bankruptcy: Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy allows an individual to obtain a fresh start by eliminating eligible debt. Sometimes some of the debtor's property must be turned over to pay creditors, but most debtors who file Chapter 7 bankruptcies do not lose any of their property. 
  
  
• Chapter 13 Bankruptcy: Chapter 13 personal bankruptcy allows an individual to create a 3 to 5 year repayment plan or partial repayment plan. This form of bankruptcy allows an individual to discharge some liabilities while also providing a chance to stop foreclosures, repossessions or dealing with tax issues.
